  2. Hi Darcie! Just curious if you have done a Fuel Cycle and if you have any menu plans? I LOVE your plans and recipes and am thinking about venturing into a week or two of a Fuel Cycle and just thought I would check with you for some help :)

    1. Hi Cherie,

My kids and husband are maybe 50-75% on plan so I do a separate meal plan for them. We all eat the same dinners every day, and sometimes we will over lap at other meals too.

  4. hi Darcie, I am new to THM and I would like to know the best way to alternate fuels. Should I do all S days then all E days?

    1. Start with 2-3 days of all s meals and then do a day of E and then start alternating. I try to switch fuels at least once a day
For onstance I will do s breakfast, lunch and snack and then an E dinner. And the next day I might do e breakfast and lunch and then a s snack and dinner. Make sense?

  6. Hello! I haven't started on plan yet. Making the menu is a very daunting task. I have looked at your menus and they seem a little advanced for me. Do you have any suggestions on getting started? Do you have any meal plans for beginners? I'm anxious to get started, but simply haven't done so because I really don't have a lot of time to sit down and make it up. Please help! Thank you so much!

  7. Thank you so much! I think that you are going to get an influx of people joining as your site was mentioned on THM beginners. We are looking for meal plans that are simple and satisfying. Especially for all of us that don't really get a hang of how to do THM yet. I have the new book and cookbook but it just seems overwhelming. Thanks again and continued success on THM

  8. Hi, Darcie. I've been thinking about getting the THM book(s) but was wondering if you could share with me the differences between the OLD book and the NEW book/cookbook. I'm confused as to which one to order. And thank you so much for such a wonderful site!

    1. Hi Lisa! The old book is good, but is a little more difficult to understand than the new plan book. Also, the reciped in the old book are not laid out like typical recipes, and some found them very difficult to follow. There are no pictures. I personally love pictures in cookbooks.

The new books are easier to understand and the cookbook has so many amazing recipes with beautiful photos. They are laid out traditionally and are great! The plan book seems more succinct than the older book.

      I hope that helps!

  10. I've followed you on FB for a while, but am going to start incorporating your meal plans. What portion size do you have listed? One person? I've been confused about serving sizes when I see a recipe posted online.

    1. On my meal plans, all breakfasts, lunches and snacks are portioned for one, all dinners are portioned for six.
